baby update & days off

This past week Noah had four days off in a row! We couldn't tell you the last time that happened because we aren't sure that it actually has without actually being on vacation. We soaked in some much needed family time together <3 Noah has officially been in the Military for a year now and I feel like we are still getting adjusted to the "military life" but it makes the time we have to spend together a lot sweeter!

To kick off the week we had an ultrasound of our little Makai! I am 23 weeks, the last time we saw him was at 1o weeks so it was very exciting to get to see him with more detail. The way the Lord designs every detail & is knitting this baby together inside of me just puts me in such awe of Him! Everything looks great, we confirmed we are having a boy, his heart looks perfect, and we even got to see him reaching for and playing with his cute toes!

Virginia has a few hidden gems around us that we have found, one of them being The Narrows in the state park here. It's tucked away from the crowd, quiet and beautiful! We went out in the morning to try fishing (we didn't catch anything but the fish sure liked the bait) but we had lots of fun!

The last little highlight of our weekend was a trip to the OBX! Noah has been wanting to go down to Hatteras since we have been here and we finally made the trip - it's about a 3 hour drive but we were able to make a day out of it! We met some friends down there, Noah surfed, we played on the beach, brought our little propane grill and made some dinner on the beach and had a beautiful sunset to end the day <3
